Ulric J. Bellaire Jr.
Mr. U. J. Bellaire Jr. is a 22-year police veteran with 11 years of
experience in supervisory/management positions. He began his career in
law enforcement with the Macon Police Department in Macon, Georgia
as a patrolman and a Neighborhood Police Officer with the AmeriCorps
Cadet Program. After two years, Mr. Bellaire accepted a position with
the Bibb County Campus Police Department where he received extensive
formal training in physical security, school policing, youth intervention
and emergency management. He is a certified Field Training Officer
who trained officers on using proactive approaches when policing school
settings and was the Field Training Supervisor that oversaw the
department's Field Training Program.
He holds certifications in Law Enforcement Supervision and Management, Train-the-Trainer for
Multi-Hazard Emergency Planning in Schools and Train-the-Trainer for Prevention of and
Response to Suicide Bombing Incidents. He has trained school administrators, teachers and staff
on emergency preparedness and crisis planning. Mr. Bellaire has a combined 17 years of
experience conducting site safety assessments for the Bibb County Board of Education and Safe
Havens International as a Safety Analyst. He has conducted over 250 site assessments in
fourteen school districts across the country consisting of public, private and boarding
schools. He’s also a contributing author of “Extreme Violence” published in 2021. Mr.
Bellaire's dedication to serving and protecting is not limited to school policing. He also served in
the United States Army Reserves and received an honorable discharge after fulfilling his
commitment. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Information Systems from
Mercer University and a Master of Business Administration from Wesleyan College.
